[ Verb reinterpretive - Geological / Geomorphology ]

Plants hold indeterminate shapes and appearances, yet as disparate as each individual organism may seem, they are interconnected by their ecosystem. Growing upon the concept of illustrating the contours of vegetation, diving deeper through the examination of each dissection, the intense elaborations of densely packed particles represent the ways in which they grow upon one another. The makeup of these intrinsically divergent materials have their own smells, character, appearances, camouflage and poisons. As these installation works live in RAW’s space, they echo the geology of the landscape, and accentuate the space they inhabit. Expressing themselves in resemblance to the various strokes in calligraphy, as each line, slant and hook morphs into characters. Even more so, they hold themselves in the way Martha Graham uses her body as a living breathing device, where tension is created in the space as each inhale and exhale is released.
The extension of craft through the space to cuisine, is exhibited through the use of plants.
